Cookie Policy

1 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a device when a website is visited. We also use comparable technologies, such as pixels, local storage, tags and software development tools. In this policy, these technologies are collectively referred to as cookies.
2 How we use cookies
NORUM uses cookies to operate the online store, remember choices, understand how the website and marketing perform, and provide relevant advertising. We group cookies into the following categories:
- Necessary cookies: required for core functions such as security, checkout, shopping cart, payments, customer accounts, delivery choices and privacy settings. These cannot normally be disabled through the consent tool.
- Preference cookies: remember choices such as language, region and display preferences.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use the website and measure its performance.
- Marketing cookies: help measure campaigns, attribute conversions and show relevant advertising on this and other services.
3 Consent
Necessary cookies are used where required to provide the website and services requested by the visitor. Preference, analytics and marketing cookies are used only after the visitor has provided the required consent through the cookie banner.
You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies or choose categories separately. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie Settings link available on the website. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
4 Cookie management provider
We use Pandectes GDPR Compliance to manage cookie choices, record consent and maintain the Cookie Declaration. The Cookie Declaration provides the current name, provider, purpose, category and retention period of cookies and similar technologies detected on the website.
5 Services that may use cookies
Depending on your choices and how you use the website, cookies or similar technologies may be used by Shopify, Shopify Payments, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, YouTube, Meta, Judge.me, Tracklution, Channable, Packrooster, Pandectes and Easify Options. Payment providers and delivery services may also use cookies on their own websites or interfaces under their own policies.
6 Cookie duration
Some cookies expire when the browser session ends. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until they are deleted. Their duration depends on their purpose, provider, browser settings and the consent given.
The current duration of each detected cookie is shown in the Cookie Declaration. Examples include Meta's _fbp cookie, which is generally retained for 90 days, and Klaviyo's __kla_id cookie, which may be retained for up to two years but can expire sooner depending on the browser. User-level data collected through Google Analytics is configured for a 14-month retention period; this is separate from the lifetime of individual cookies.
7 Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the online store, checkout or customer account from working correctly. Browser controls do not always prevent other technologies, so the NORUM Cookie Settings should also be used to manage consent.
8 Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy when the website, service providers or cookie use changes. For questions about cookies or personal data, contact info@norumrugs.com.
